Heartwarming Story of the Day

Obsession of the Day: First Snow in Egypt in 112 Years

Everything is better in a taco shell.

I went to Whole Foods this morning and bought a box of taco shells. I've never really bought taco shells before, so I didn't really think about what I'd do with them. They were an impulse buy. So. For breakfast I wound up eating scrambled eggs in taco shells. Just 'cuz. And now I'm eating a chicken caesar salad in a taco shell. It's amazing.

Obsession of the Day: Bone Broth

Last night it was Westlife. This afternoon, I'm all into bone broth.

It was freezing out today, so I stayed in bed for ages before getting up and deciding to go to my happy place: a supermarket, any supermarket. I rather unwisely chose Whole Foods—which, as it turns out, is a nightmare on Sunday afternoons. So I wound up just grabbing a bag of organic spinach and some English cheddar before heading over to the much more manageable, pleasant, and easy-to-navigate Garden of Eden, where I bought a chicken.

When I got home, I shredded the chicken to make chicken Caesar cornets (secretly, the whole point of the outing), which are delicious, and I wound up eating four, which I probably shouldn't have, oh well. Since it was still early—and had just started to snow out, which means I was definitely staying in—I decided to get all domestic-y and make some chicken stock with the bones.

So. That's what I've been doing since about 3 p.m. That, and Googling "chicken bone broth health benefits." Wow. Apparently it's good for everything—including, but not limited to: cellulite, bone and tooth health, joints, hair, skin, your immune system, digestion, connective tissues, fatigue. Everything.

Tonight I'm deep in a rabbit hole of Westlife music videos.

Tonight on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Kian talked a little about his music career. So, of course, I headed straight to YouTube. And now I'm deep in a rabbit-hole of Westlife music videos. Here are some of my all-time favorites, after the jump.

I love this: Hedgehog in the Fog

This is pretty much the best video ever.
This is a story about a little hedgehog and his friend bear cub. The two would meet every evening to drink tea from the cub's samovar, which was heated on a fire of juniper twigs. As they drank their tea, the hedgehog and the bear conversed and counted the stars together. One day, the hedgehog decided to bring raspberry jam. As he went to the bear to count the stars, he passed through the woods and found a horse standing in a fog, where the hedgehog can't even see his own pink paw. He is curious as to whether the horse would drown if it went to sleep in the fog. The hedgehog decides to explore the fog.
