From Vanessa Menkes' wedding announcement today in the NY Times:
Ms. Menkes and Mr. Orlofsky met at a mutual friend’s barbecue on a clear evening last June, a week after severe thunderstorms had washed over south Florida, leaving many streets flooded, and cars under water.

“People were sitting on roofs of their cars making panicky phone calls,” Ms. Menkes recalled.

As she, too, began to panic, she asked herself, “Hey girl, who are you going to call?” Then she took hold of the situation, concluding: “You’re going to take care of yourself.”
