Aspen Day 2

Had a big work day yesterday, but managed to get out on a couple of appointments in the afternoon. Two skiwear shows: Dannenman and Marmot, then store events at The Gallerie, Pucci, and Obermayer. Dinner at Ajax, at the foot of Aspen Mountain, where I took a black and white photos. What's nice about Aspen is that it holds on to its quaintness. Cator and I walked around town a bit and checked out the Hotel Jerome, which is more than charming, we loved it. Store coverage is over at racked.com. Saw Naomi Conquers Africa, a late-90s documentary about Naomi Campbell producing the Gianni Versace tribute show in South Africa, with the help of Nelson Mandela. It was a weird film. I am a huge fan of Douglas Keeve -- he directed Unzipped, one of my favorite fashion films of all time -- but this was a different sort of documentary. Big day today! Up at 6 a.m. to blog and then lunch with the Obermayer folks. Michael W says that the restaurant at the top of Aspen Mountain has WiFi, so maybe I'll take the gondola up to the top and do some work this afternoon. That could be pretty cool.
