With all the talk about the end of print media, I often find myself wondering what else I'd be able to do to make money. I really can't think of anything. Sometimes I think I might want to visit a career counselor.

Anyway.

Growing up, I never wanted to be a writer. Until I was about 19, I thought I would be a doctor. Too bad science isn't my strong suit. So I kind of took a roundabout path of getting to this point -- I love fashion, I enjoy working in media. And as for writing, it feels liberating to me. I'm just at the beginning of my writing career -- people do this years and years, entire lifetimes -- and what I'm realizing is that writing isn't just a job. Once you're a writer, you'll always be one, whether you like it or not.
