It was a good fashion week

I'm not sure how I got through the week without face-planting into my keyboard (not even once!) while managing to actually go out most nights. Maybe it was momentum or maybe it's because I kind of feel like a new person this year.

It's strange and vague to say, but I wasted a lot of 2007, then spent most of 2008 reconsidering the last year. But 2009? It's like everything's shiny and new again.

It didn't hurt that there were fun landmarks, paced through the week, to look forward to -- Calvin Men's show, Rodarte, Baby Phat, Project Runway. I was pretty much on a Rodarte high after the show, and all the strappy leather and sparkly sleeves kept me (blissfully) in The (fashion) Zone for a few days.

Spring's around the corner. New year, new season. I'm aggressively optimistic for the first time in years.
