So I took my second broken ASUS EEE PC 900A to the Best Buy on 44th and 5th and talked to a nice guy with a beard at the Geek Squad desk who told me that the service center doesn't service netbooks (because the parts are expensive) and that he'd be happy to help me out with a store credit. Yay! I am so impressed with that level of customer service, it's amazing, especially in this grim economy. So I traded in my crappy ASUS for the HP 1030NR netbook and paid the difference. Thank you Best Buy! I'll be seeing you soon.
